Swimming Pool Design With 1 Thing In Mind... It's Time To Party With
Friends.
The exquisiteness thing about a new concrete swimming pool design is!!!
There are so many designs available to the applicant... Plus they are not limited to just
moulded pool designs.
The are so many more design options attainable with concrete pools, They are endless in
fact.
When thinking about building a kick-ass swimming pool that stands out from the rest of the
mob... You must create
a harmony between a posteriori and it's objective.
One of the most import things you need to remember is... only a certified structural
engineer can provide these services and calculations.
They will ensure a number of things!!!
* Materials that must be use to guarantee your swimming pool will not
deteriorate.
* Pool walls are designed accordingly with the accurate amount of concrete and rebar steel
in placed... Where it
can cogently resist cracks caused by soil expanding.
Under no circumstance cut any corners or do it yourself!!!
Why?
For Starters...
You are not a qualified tradesman and it can have a major impact on your insurance cover, plus it could turn out
to
be an exorbitant and disastrous gamble.
The Need For Reinforced Concrete Is A Must With A Concrete Pool:
Why?
Well, to start with...
Rebar steel and concrete bear quality physiognomy composition, making them the material of choice for building
a
pool wall.
* They have expansion (thermal) properties.
This means they expand and contract at the same time... controlled by
temperatures.
Why is thermal expansion such an important attribute with inground concrete
pools.
Well, the comportment of these two materials under forces... which are, compression and
tension are a critical
factor to stop cracks from forming in your pool.
Think about this for a while!!!
You must remember one thing... concrete is magnanimously strong under compression
forces!!! but, weak under tension.
Where as with rebar steel on the flip side of the coin, is quite vigorous and will not
languish when subjected to
tension forces. But, is devitalize when compressed.
Did you no that rebar steel is categorically deformed steel.
Why you might be asking yourself!!!
The reason is... so that the steel ridges can grip the concrete to cohere together
analogously when loaded.
With Concrete Swimming Pools Designs, Structural Engineers
Recommend
A 40 Grade Steel Rebar, Although A 60 Grade Steel Rebar Can Be Used.
One thing to keep in mind with using a 60 grade steel rebar is... it costs a little more,
its stronger and harder!!!
But, Its harder for steel fixers to work with.
The best thing about combining concrete and steel rebars is, they form two important
components that are,
strength and tension when compression occurs.
There are a few areas that are logical overrule to more compression, and demand a higher
concrete to steel ratio
to fix this problem.
Notwithstanding that some areas are subject to more tension forces! they will need more
steel to concrete ratio to
fix this problem.
When soil expands in concrete pools, this will causes so many problems!!! This is the most
expansive snag to
occur in building a new pool.
How does this effect you!!!
Well, if the dirt gets wet and expands behind the pool walls, it will push it
outward.
This means that the back wall is in contact with the dirt, causing it to being
stretching... causing (tension). while the inside face is in contact with water!!! causing it to start
compressing.
Therefore more steel is needed on the back walls of the pool, because this is where the
tension is at its highest
point.
The more the soil expands... the more concrete and rebar steel will be required to fix
this problem and make your
pool walls stronger.
On the flip side... a swimming pool wall may be designed to hold water instead of holding
soil out.
This is far more common in above ground pools or for swimming pools on a hill side with
nothing behind the back walls.
This type of swimming pool walls are referred to as a freestanding pool wall.
This will require more rebar steel near the surface of the concrete,
to save you from blowing your budget, even
before you start!!!
Knowing your pool site conditions are a must:
Before embarking on building a concrete swimming pool, there are a few critical things you
need to get your head around.
They may include the following things:
* Check your site conditions first.
* Is it on a hillside location.
* Do you need an out of ground structure.
* The type of soil class you are dealing with.
* How much will the soil expand if it gets wet.
* Additional loads (surcharges) that may be placed on the pool structure.
Remember The Most Important Thing About A Swimming Pool
Design Is... It's A
Reward, & A Lifestyle Change, Plus An Aesthetic Complement To Any Property.
As an addition to your existing home, it's vital that your new swimming pool adheres to
the designing laws, concepts and styles of the surrounding area.
Building a new concrete pool includes the following process:
1. Set out a pre-start meeting with a pool builder.
3. Earthworks... digging a hole.
2. Delivery of materials... for form work to begin.
4. Form work and steel placement.
5. Concrete shell pour.
6. Backfill and pool plumbing.
7. Electrician.
8. Waterline tiling.
9. Step treads.
10. Bull-nose header on pool edge.
11. Water features and paving.
12. Filtration equipment delivery.
13. Shell clean out and plaster delivery.
14. Internal finish application.
15. Fill with water.
16. Chemical treatment.
17. Client instruction and handover.
